Ingredients

No, there is no added table sugar (sucrose) in our reformulated product range.  We top up bovine lactose, which is naturally occurring milk sugar, to achieve the carbohydrate level specified in the Food Standard Code Australia New Zealand.

Yes, our products do contain lactose. If your little one is lactose intolerant, then our products would not be suitable.

Yes, our entire product range is GMO, preservative and gluten free.

Yes.  Baby Steps is Halal accredited with New Zealand’s MPI regulations

GOS is an oligosaccharide, which is a type of prebiotic.

Switching Milk Drinks

Never mix two different types, or brands, of milk drinks together.

Yes. If you are wanting to change milk drinks, we recommend to replace the milk drink earlier in the day for the first few days, to allow you to observe if your little one has any reactions.  If your little one has no reactions, then continue to replace the feeds needed.

It might be good to note that it is rare for a child to react badly to a change of milk drink. However, every little one is different.

Below are the changes you may see or hear within the first 24 hours if your little one is sensitive and reacting to the change:

Gas? Gas can be normal.  If the baby is just producing gas with no other signs, then that can be a normal adjustment.  Additionally, it can be from a food they are eating, if on solids. 

Blood or vomit? If blood is found in stool or vomiting, with or without blood, call your doctor immediately.  

Swelling, hives/skin rashes, trouble breathing? Call your doctor immediately.

Product Subscription

We understand that during your exciting parenting journey- it can seem like there just aren’t enough hours in a day to get everything done. That’s why we have introduced our easy-to-use and fully customisable product subscription; to give you one less thing to think about. And you can rest assured that your little one’s nutritional needs are being met, without needing to replace repeat orders.

Starting a subscription is as easy as placing an order with us. All you need to do is create your account and choose your product, the frequency that you want to receive your order and the quantity. Then, check out and input your payment information as you normally would when placing an order- and your subscription is set up!

We understand that your order needs may change over time and we welcome you to update your subscription at any time- just make sure you do so at least 24 hours before your next order is scheduled.

Other than the ease of not having to place repeat orders, we also are offering exclusive discounts and rewards for product subscriptions on Stage 3 and Stage 4 cans! Stay tuned- you’ll be alerted via email when these are available.

Absolutely! You can update your subscription at any time, as long as it is at least 24 hours before your next order is scheduled to be shipped. To check your current subscriptions and when you will receive your next order, simply log into your Baby Steps account and click on “Subscriptions”.

Yes you can. You can choose and change whether you are receiving your products weekly, monthly or fortnightly at any time. To make a change to your subscription, log into your Baby Steps account and click on “Subscriptions” and change the frequency to what best suits your little one's needs.

Yes! Our Baby Steps loyalty program applies to product subscriptions. To check how our loyalty program works and which products you can earn points for please check out our Loyalty Program FAQs.

We know that the best person to decide when your little one’s formula requirements need to change or stop is you- so we have not allocated an end date. To cancel your subscription at any time; log into your Baby Steps account and click on “Subscriptions”, then click cancel. Just make sure you cancel at least 24 hours before your next order is scheduled to be dispatched, so you don’t receive any more shipments.

You can log in to your Baby Steps account at any time and check on the status and date of your next order, under the “Subscriptions” section. You will also receive email correspondence confirming your order and shipping notification once your order is on its way to you.

We recommend logging in to your Baby Steps account and checking your subscription frequency and order address, as well as the shipment status, first. Our customer support team is always available to answer any of your queries and remedy this as quickly as possible for you.

Manufacturing Processes

All of our Baby Steps® Goat Milk products are manufactured in New Zealand and use goat whole milk sourced from our New Zealand partner goat farms. We do import blended ingredients, and the locations of where these ingredients are sourced from can be dependent on availability.

Preparation and Storage

If you need to prepare in advance, refrigerate immediately in a sealed bottle and use within 24 hours.  Warm when ready to use.

All of our Baby Steps® products should be used within 4 weeks of opening.

We do not recommend freezing as it may expose the powder to condensation. We recommend storing opened cans in the pantry for up to 4 weeks.

Samples, Orders and Delivery

Baby Steps complies with the World Health Organization (WHO) code, and voluntarily to the Infant Nutrition Code (INC) guidelines. As part of abiding to these, we do not provide paid or unpaid samples of Stage 1 or 2 products directly to primary caregivers.

However, we can provide Stage 1 or 2 samples to healthcare professionals, such as a GP, Nurse or midwife on their request. If you would like them to request a sample on your behalf, you can request a healthcare professional sample form by emailing us at info@babystepsnz.co.nz. Samples will only be sent when we receive the signed form.

Yes, we know finding the right solution for your little one is important. Because of this, we have a 14-day refund policy for first-time customers, if your little one is not happy with our products.

If you are a repeat customer, we will accept refund and/or exchange of the products only when the cans have not been opened and are in the original condition.

Yes we do! Our loyalty program offers reward points for any purchase of our Baby Steps® Goat Toddler Milk Drink (Stage 3) and/or Baby Steps Goat Junior Milk Drink (Stage 4) made through our website. You can also gain rewards points by following our social media accounts, referring us to your friends, as well as many other ways- which we outline below.

Joining our Baby Steps loyalty program is as easy as creating an account with us, which you can do by clicking here.  Also-by creating your own account, you will automatically receive 50 reward points as well as gaining access to other exclusive offers and discounts!

Our loyalty program is based on an easy to use reward points system. Once you have created an account with us, for every $1 you spend on either our Baby Steps® Goat Toddler Milk Drink (Stage 3) or Baby Steps Goat Junior Milk Drink (Stage 4) you will automatically receive 1 loyalty point ($1 = 1 loyalty point).

Once you have reached 200 reward points you will  be alerted via email as well as in your account login that you have earned a $15 product voucher to put towards a future purchase of Baby Steps Toddler / Junior Milk Drink online. You will also receive clear instructions of how to apply the voucher to an upcoming purchase.

 Your earned credits and points will be valid for the next 12 months for redemption. 

You’ve done all the hard work and we want you to be rewarded! You’ll need to be logged in to your Baby Steps account to redeem your reward points, and unfortunately we don’t allow you to transfer these.

The short answer is no. As we are part of the INC (Infant Nutrition Council) member and we voluntarily comply with WHO (World Health Organization) code for infant formula marketing, we do not run any promotion or offers on Stage 1 & 2 products.

Unfortunately due to the same reason specified above, the credits that you earned from purchasing Stage 3 & 4 can only be used for Stage 3 & 4 purchase only.
