Stage 1 Original

We are parents too and we understand every parent wants the very best for their children. Goat milk is naturally gentle due to its unique fatty acid and protein profiles. It may be a good choice for babies.

As a breast milk substitute, Baby Steps® Goat Infant Formula is nutritionally balanced. It is formulated with optimal ingredients to support your baby’s growing needs.

Our Baby Steps® products are manufactured in New Zealand, with goat whole milk sourced from our New Zealand partner farms.

Goat whole milk is collected and delivered to our factory where it is spray dried and then wet blended* with additional ingredients soured from our global partners** to provide nutrient uniformity. The final product is sealed into cans and tested for quality and safety before making its way to your home.

*Wet blending is a manufacturing technique to ensure all ingredients, particularly the minor ones in the milk drink are evenly dispersed.

**This includes other dairy ingredients that are not available in NZ, as well as ingredients sourced both internationally & locally.

  1. Wash your hands before preparing formula. Sterilise bottle, teat and any utensils by boiling in water for 5 minutes or use an approved steriliser.
  2. Boil safe drinking water and allow to cool down.
  3. Measure exact amount of previously boiled water into a sterilised bottle. Refer to feeding guide for quantities of water and powder.
  4. Use only enclosed scoop. Lightly fill scoop with powder and level using built in leveller. Avoid compacting powder.
  5. Always add one level of scoop of powder for each 50mL water. Place cap on bottle. Shake briskly until powder is fully dissolved.
  6. Before feeding your baby, test the temperature of formula on your wrist. Feed immediately. Discard any unfinished feeds.

Prepare each bottle individually. It is safer to use formula immediately after it is prepared. Should you need to prepare formula in advance, refrigerate immediately and use within 24 hours.

Infant formula may be used from birth. Putting your baby to bed with a bottle can cause tooth decay.
